In Garden Grove 20 students at Alamitos Intermediate School earned Thanksgiving dinner for their families. They did this by showing up to class, improving their grades and staying out of trouble. Garden Grove Police were there to congratulate the students and hand out the holiday meals. The Orange County District Attorney's GRIP makes this incentive program possible with the help of Saddleback Church and many local sponsors. Across town, Garden Grove's 7-Eleven store at Euclid and Trask served turkey dinner to hundreds of local people as their way of giving back to the community.
