The H. Louis Lake Senior Center offers seniors 50 years and older a multitude of services and activities. No membership is required. The Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Meals
Daily hot lunches are available for seniors age 60 and older for a suggested donation of $2.50. For those younger than 60 the lunch costs $3.50. Bus service is available to seniors living in Garden Grove that participate in the lunch program. Home meal delivery is also available for frail elderly living within the City limits of Garden Grove. Caring volunteers are needed for approximately 1 - 2 hours a week to deliver meals to socially isolated seniors in Garden Grove and the North Orange County area. Activities
The Center is an active participant Senior Citizen's Center. The Center offers many volunteer opportunities, activities, travel opportunities, classes (some in conjunction with Garden Grove Unified School District), holiday parties, sports and special events. Classes include exercise (Tai Chi, low impact exercises), line dancing, crafts (ceramics, jewelry making, sewing, needlecraft), cards (bridge and pinochle), and art. The Center has two regulation pool tables, shuffleboard, bocci ball, longevity stick exercise and a weekly walking club.
