| Summary |
A student at Pacifica High School left his cell phone in the locker room over night. He checked the Internet that showed the phone's GPS location at Pacifica High School. This morning the phone could not be found. The victim later pinged the phone and found it at an address in Anaheim. Officers suspected that a district employee may have acquired the phone and was now in possession of it. They checked the school records and found an address match belonging to a night custodian. After a short phone conversation the employee, he agreed to meet the Officers with the phone. The employee admitting to taking the phone from the school and then home despite written policy directing him to immediately contact his supervisor. The phone was recovered and released to the victim. |

| Summary |
The Youth Services Unit together with our partners from Public Woks and the Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove Family Youth Outreach Program conducted a citywide graffiti paint off. Select juvenile offenders whose case was not sent to the District Attorney participated in graffiti removal and area beautification. Efforts were concentrated in the neighborhoods near Brookhurst Street and Lampson Avenue, Harbor Boulevard and Trask Avenue, Santiago High School and Roxey Drive and Trask Avenue. The kids used fifteen gallons of paint and twelve large trash bags during their six-hour work period. Several residents stopped and said they appreciated the hard work of the kids. |

| Summary |
The Garden Grove Pony Baseball League field has had approximately 10 gray 55-gallon trashcans and (1) Bronze Plaque stolen from the field grounds between September 11 and the 13th. The Bronze plaque was affixed to a Bar-B-Que stand by four bolts to a sidewall. The unknown suspect(s) had used a pry tool to remove the item. No suspect(s) or witnesses to the incident were located. There are no cameras and no evidence was located at the scene. The field grounds are owned by GGUSD but is paid for and maintained by the Pony Baseball League. The Bronze memorial plaque has "Hill Corner" imprinted on it and has an estimated replacement cost of $2000.00. |

| Summary |
The victim walked from the Hospitality Inn to the Wendy's at Beach and Garden Grove Blvd. The suspect approached the victim and asked her for directions. The victim told him where he needed to go and the suspect then grabbed the handle of her purse and pushed her backwards. The strap on the purse broke, causing the victim to lose control of it. The suspect took the purse and rode S/B through the shopping center parking lot on a black beach cruiser. The victim reported a loss of the $300 purse, $300 in cash, $300 in make-up, and $300 in various prescription pain medications.
Suspect info: M, H, 25-30 years old, 5-11, 210, shaved head, wearing a white tank top, black Dickies shorts, white tennis shoes, and riding a black beach cruiser.

| Summary |
A neighbor for the above address noticed the owner's newspapers stacking up at the front door and the owner's car still in the driveway. When the neighbor checked the front door they discovered the door was unlocked and the owner was not answering the door. The neighbor called GGPD to request a welfare check and the homeowner was found inside deceased. The coroner responded and made the preliminary conclusion the 57-year old owner passed away from natural causes. |
