Graffiti Programs in Need of Community Involvement

GraffitiOff.jpgOctober 6, 2008

The Garden Grove Public Works Department is requesting help from the community to control graffiti by utilizing the 24-hour Graffiti Hotline and participating in Project GO paint outs. The 24-hour Graffiti Hotline and Project GO are two components of the City’s anti-graffiti efforts.

Residents are advised to report existing graffiti for cover up by calling the 24-hour Graffiti Hotline at (714) 741-5381. Most residential graffiti can be removed within 72 hours of being reported through the Graffiti Hotline.

One Saturday a month, volunteers are needed for the Project GO (Graffiti Off) program. Community groups, non-profit agencies, youth groups, scout programs, youth sports teams, and others take pride in their community by devoting a few hours to paint over the unsightly images. Future Project GO dates are Saturdays, October 25, November 8, and December 6. For more information, please call (714) 741-5372.
