January 19, 2010 In preparation of severe weather storms, the City of Garden Grove reminds all residents of the availability of up to 10 free sandbags at the following City locations:
- Fire Station #2, 11805 Gilbert Street
- Fire Station #3, 12132 Trask Avenue
- Fire Station #4, 12191 Valley View Street
Fire stations provide sand and bags to be filled by residents, 24 hours a day. Proof of Garden Grove residency may be requested. Sandbags are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are asked to bring their own shovels. Residents are responsible for transporting as well as disposing of filled sandbags.
