Street Sweeping
Residential streets are posted for sweeping and "no parking" between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on sweeping days. Major streets and other special areas are posted for sweeping and "no parking" between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. on sweeping days. The posted street signs and tract entrance signs show the frequency and restricted hours for sweeping. Street Lights.
Street lights are not maintained by the City of Garden Grove. Burned out street lights are replaced by the Edison Company. Call (800) 655-4555.
Tree Inspection
The City maintains all City trees on a scheduled basis through its regular maintenance program in an effort to keep Garden Grove beautiful. If you have a concern about a problem tree in your area, e.g. sidewalk cracks, broken limbs, you can assist the City by calling (714) 741-5387.
Parks & Facilities
The City parks and facilities are for the enjoyment of the entire community. City staff works very diligently to maintain these facilities. However, there are times when vandalism occurs, graffiti appears or sprinklers go astray. To assist the City and to help keep parks beautiful call (714) 741-5375 to get involved.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
The average American generates four pounds of waste a day! Only a half-pound of the waste is recycled or reused. Residents can help reduce, reuse, or recycle in Garden Grove. Garden Grove Sanitary District provides residents with a separate curbside bin for recyclable items. Reuse items instead of throwing them away, and recycle the items that end up in the trash.
