The lessons emphasize the development of swimming skills to promote personal safety, health and exercise as well as social interaction. All swim classes consist of eight lessons in a two-week period. Swim passes, pool rentals and other swimming opportunities are available.

Registration will be conducted on a first-come, first served basis as class capacity allows. Fees are payable at the time of registration. Make checks payable to "City of Garden Grove". Credit cards are accepted.

The American Cancer Society Bark for Life is a festival and walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer. By supporting Bark for Life, you help the American Cancer Society save lives and help us move closer to our ultimate goal of a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

Bring your best canine friend and join us for a fun-filled day starting with a walk, and then continuing with demonstrations, contests, raffles, and games (competitions for best dog tricks, a prize for Miss Congeniality, owner/dog look-alike, and more).

Cost: $5 per registration -- includes dog bandana.

All dogs must be on a leash.

  Garden Grove Day Camp
Garden Grove Day Camp provides children ages 5-12 with a variety of recreational experiences using a small leader/child ratio. Our fun-filled, ten week program comes complete with games, crafts, activities, songs and field trips. Campers get the opportunity to reunite with old friends, make new friends and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Recreation leaders provide opportunities for campers to be creative, achieve self-expression, gain self-confidence, and build team skills through activities and group games. Each recreation leader is trained in basic first aid and CPR.

Time: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
