  10th Annual GGCF/Chamber Golf Classic
It's been said that a bad day on the golf course is better than a good day in the office. The 10th Annual Golf Classic at Willowick Golf Course is a perfect opportunity to put that old adage to the test.

Co-sponsored by Garden Grove Community Foundation and Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce, this annual event includes a shotgun-start, full round of golf, unlimited beverages, a complete box lunch provided by Lee's Sandwiches, and a delicious dinner grilled onsite by Outback Steakhouse.

A silent auction providing the opportunity to purchase sports related items, as well as certificates for golf packages, dining, and entertainment will be held following play. Proceeds from this event help fund quality community events in Garden Grove.

Team and individual players are welcome at $150 each. Contests and prize opportunities abound, including putting and long drive contests, a poker run, and a hefty Hole-In-One contest paying out $20,000 cash, or $25,000 toward a car from Garden Grove Hyundai or Kia. Team awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be presented.

  Re:Imagine Downtown
The City of Garden Grove is launching a new online forum designed to interactively gather ideas on a variety of downtown topics.

Visit this link: www.reimaginedowntowngg.com to share your thoughts about what you want to see in the downtown area. The main project area extends from Garden Grove Blvd. to the south, Stanford Avenue to the north, 9th Street to the east, and to residential properties west of Grove street.

Visitors to the site can offer feedback on topics such as parks and open spaces, performing arts, events, retail, parking and traffic. New topics will be introduced throughout the next several months, so visitors are encouraged to visit the site often.
