Residents can now search their district by address through the 'District Election Mapping' page under the Open Government main tab. The map also pinpoints schools, outlined in yellow, and parks, outlined in green, for each district.
On May 10, 2016, the City of Garden Grove adopted Ordinance No. 2866 changing the City's current at-large system of electing City Council Members to a by-district system.
The General Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, for the following Offices: Mayor at-large; Council District 2; Council District 3; Council District 5; and Council District 6. The filing period for the 2016 Election of Council District 2 and Council District 3 is Friday, August 12, 2016. The Election of Mayor and Council Member District 5 has been extended to Wednesday, August 17.
