Life saving Click It or Ticket Mobilization Begins - Garden Grove Police Department Kicks Off High Visibility Enforcement

The Garden Grove Police Department wants to remind motorists to Click It or Ticket. In order to enforce this reminder, beginning Monday, May 19, officers will be joining in the 2014 national seat belt enforcement mobilization and cracking down on motorists who are not belted.

Photo of Fire Department AppThe Garden Grove Fire Department, as one of eight Orange County fire agencies that comprise the Metro Cities Fire Authority, is participating in the trial launch of Pulsepoint, a mobile application intended to save victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Metro Cities Fire Authority, in cooperation with the Metro Cities dispatch center, is the first in Orange County to pilot this application.

Main Street Logo Contest Winners Announced

The artwork of Carina Dan, Tony L. Rivera, and Irah Mapaye placed first, second, and third, respectively.

Tower on the Green Gets a Facelift

Clock Tower.jpgSince 2002, the “Tower on the Green” clock tower has symbolized the proud spirit of the Garden Grove community. The iconic landmark, standing at the entrance to the Village Green Park, is undergoing a much needed “make-over” which includes sanding, scraping, wire brushing, and a fresh coat of paint. The $13,500 project is being funded by Park Improvements/Park Fees.
