City’s Garden Grove TV3 Wins First Emmy

The City’s Garden Grove TV3 (GGTV3) cable division was recently honored with its first Emmy Award, and other top state and national awards for various video productions.

Senior Center Offers Public Cooling Place During Summer

Soaring temperatures can be especially dangerous to seniors and children, especially if homes have no air conditioning. To offer some relief from the high temperatures, the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will serve as a public cooling center this Saturday, July 8, when temperatures are forecasted to reach 95 degrees Fahrenheit and above. The Center is located at 11300 Stanford Avenue.

During the months of July and August, on forecasted high-heat days, the cooling center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including weekends.

Kickoff the Summer with Free Concerts in the Park

The community is invited to attend the free Summer Concert Series, starting July 6 through August 10, at Eastgate Park, 12001 St. Mark Street. A total of six concerts will be held Thursday nights, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Kicking-off the series is Stone Soul, playing classic Motown hits.

City Welcomes SteelCraft to Downtown Area

This past Tuesday, the Garden Grove City Council unanimously approved a ground lease agreement with SteelCraft Long Beach, LP. The property is located at 12900 Euclid Street, in Garden Grove’s downtown area.
