Giddy-up to Garden Grove’s 2016 free Summer Concert Series, hosted by the Garden Grove Community Foundation. Gold Rush Country makes their debut by playing contemporary country music on Thursday, July 28, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event takes place at Eastgate Park, located at 12001 St. Mark Street.
Arrive early, at 6:00 p.m., to watch the 5th annual “The Voice of Garden Grove,” a singing competition for local high school students. Performers from the Garden Grove Unified School District will compete for a spot in the finals, on August 11, for a chance to win a $500 scholarship award and another $500 towards their school’s choir program. Performing this week are students from Bolsa Grande, La Quinta, Rancho Alamitos, Los Amigos, and Santiago High School.
Don’t forget to download the ‘Garden Grove’ mobile app to receive a notification detailing a special promotion that ties-in with this Thursday’s concert. Those who participate will receive a unique giveaway during the concert at the Garden Grove Community Foundation booth, while quantities last.
Various vendors will be selling food, beverages, and dessert. Food trucks at this week’s concert include Buqqa Burger, Buqqa Mediterranean, SOHO Taco, and Dogzilla.
For the safety and enjoyment of all, no canopies, golf carts, or alcohol is permitted in the park.
