Garden Grove’s free summer concerts continues its series with 80’s and 90’s rock n’ roll band, Knyght Ryder, on Thursday, July 21, 2016. The show begins at 6:30 p.m., at Eastgate Park, 12001 St. Mark Street.
Arrive early, at 6:00 p.m., to watch students from Rancho Alamitos, Garden Grove, Santiago, and Los Amigos high schools compete in this week’s The Voice of Garden Grove. One lucky student will win a chance to move onto the finals, on August 11, for a shot at a $500 scholarship award and another $500 towards their school’s choral program. The singing competition will be streamed live on the Garden Grove City Hall Facebook.
Concert goers who have the Garden Grove mobile app downloaded onto their smartphone will have an exclusive opportunity to receive a free giveaway at next Thursday’s concert. That morning, a notification detailing a special promotion that ties in with the concert will be sent through the mobile app. Those who participate will receive the giveaway, while supplies last.
Various vendors will be selling food and beverages, including Greasy Wiener, Oh My Gaga, and Mustache Mike’s food trucks. For the safety and enjoyment of all, no canopies, golf carts, or alcohol are permitted in the park.
The 2016 free Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the Garden Grove Community Foundation, City of Garden Grove, AT&T, and GKN Aerospace.
