This year’s free Summer Concert Series, brought to you by the Garden Grove Community Foundation, will kick off on Thursday, July 10, at Eastgate Park, located at 12001 St. Mark Street, starting at 5:30 p.m. A total of six concerts will be held at Eastgate Park every Thursday through August 14.
On July 10, relive classic rock and roll with Fleetwood Mac tribute band, “Rumours.” The first concert also celebrates July as Parks and Recreation Month. The community is invited to come out and celebrate with free activities, including carnival games, face painting, and bounce houses. Various vendors will be selling food, beverages, and dessert.
A new addition to the summer concerts is the availability of popular Orange County food trucks. Each Thursday, different gourmet food trucks will offer specialty items to hungry concert goers from the start of the event until the end. The first concert will include Dos Chinos, Garlicscapes, The Grilled Cheese Truck, and Sexy Burger food trucks.
For the safety and enjoyment of all, no canopies, golf carts, or alcohol is permitted in the park.
The 2014 free Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the Garden Grove Community Foundation, City of Garden Grove, AT&T Services, GKN Aerospace, Republic Services, and Walmart.
