Garden Grove has “The Answer” to classic rock at the last free summer concert on Thursday, August 11, 2016. The band takes the stage at 7:00 p.m., at Eastgate Park, located at 12001 St. Mark Street.
Get there at 6:30 p.m. to watch the finale of The Voice of Garden Grove, a singing competition for local high school students. For the past four weeks, 20 students from the Garden Grove Unified School District have vied for a chance to win a $1,000 prize, half of which goes to their school’s choir program.
The five finalists representing La Quinta, Rancho Alamitos, Santiago, and Pacifica high schools will seek the title of The Voice of Garden Grove 2016 and take home the cash prize.
At the concert, local artist, Robin Marcario, will host an Interactive Mosaic Workshop inviting the community to help complete two mosaics that will be installed in the west Garden Grove area later this year.
Various vendors will be selling food and beverages including Burger Monster, Coconut Truck, Hacks, Mustache Mike’s Italian Ice, and Oh My Gaga food trucks.
No canopies, golf carts, or alcohol are permitted in the park.
Concert goers who have the Garden Grove mobile app downloaded onto their smartphone will have an exclusive opportunity to receive a free giveaway at the concert this Thursday, while supplies last.
