The City of Garden Grove is hosting two upcoming community meetings in May seeking input on the regulation of medical marijuana dispensaries in the city. The meetings take place on Tuesday, May 3, and Wednesday, May 18, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., in the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue.

Two, upcoming public hearings represent the final opportunities for the community to comment on the selection of a six-district electoral map, to be in effect for the 2016 elections. The public hearings take place on Tuesday, April 12 and April 26, at 6:30 p.m., during the regular meeting of the Garden Grove City Council.
The City of Garden Grove officially announces the immediate retirement of the City’s Public Safety Administrative Officer and former fire chief, David Barlag.
Barlag started his Garden Grove Fire Department career in 1986, holding every position in the department, until achieving the rank of fire chief in 2012. In September 2014, he resigned as fire chief, and accepted the position of Public Safety Administrative Officer.
