City Chooses New City Manager from Cincinnati

Stiles as the new city manager. Stiles, a former assistant city manager for the City of Cincinnati, Ohio, officially begins his city manager position with the City of Garden Grove on Monday, August 3, 2015.

Community Meeting Center Under Temporary Closure

The City’s main meeting facility for public and private events, as well as Garden Grove City Council and City Commission meetings, is now temporarily closed while interior renovations take place. The Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue is tentatively scheduled to re-open in early 2016.

At the conclusion of the 42nd annual Garden Grove Pride Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 1, 2015, the winning home in the “Best Home & Garden” contest was revealed. Zone 16, belonging to Patrick and Valerie Sullivan, on Dunklee Lane took the top honor. The week prior to the Ceremony, the community was invited to participate in an online voting contest to pick the best-looking home in Garden Grove.

Walmart to Partner with Garden Grove Police and Fire

On June 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., Walmart, located at 11822 Gilbert Street, is having a fundraiser for CHOC-Children's Hospital of Orange County to help support Children's Miracle Network.

Walmart has a target of raising $22,000 with the proceeds directly going to CHOC.

Garden Grove seniors are invited to celebrate Father's Day with a fun-filled event that includes dancing, food, and special treats, sponsored by Scan Health Plan. The event will take place in the Senior Center Dining Room, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Lunch will also be available for a suggested donation of $3.50 per person. "The Serenaders" will provide live music.
