Openings are available for the Mobile Home Improvement Program. The City will offer assistance on a first come, first serve basis. Low-income applicants who qualify are assisted through forgivable loans, to rehabilitate their mobile home.

Spring Training Begins for Disaster Preparedness Program

The City’s CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) begins a new, four-Saturday training academy, starting March 18 and held every other Saturday, ending with graduation on April 29. Classes start at 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the North Net Fire Training Center.

Garden Grove Offering CPR, First Aid, AED Training

The City’s CERT program will offer a CPR/First Aid/AED certification on Saturday, March 11, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at North Net Fire Training Center, located at 2400 E. Orangewood Avenue, Anaheim, 92806. The cost for the class is $30.

City Announces 2.5-Mile Route for Open Streets Event

On April 1, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., a 2.5-mile route, planned for the 3rd annual Open Streets event, will be closed to cars, and open to all forms of non-motorized transportation. The Open Streets route spans from Garden Grove Boulevard at West Street, to Acacia Parkway and Main Street.

Water Rate Study

At the January 24, 2017 Garden Grove City Council meeting, the Public Works Department presented a water rate study during the City Council Study Session. The presentation provided an overview of water system facilities, the City's existing water rates, and the financial status of the City's Water Utility.

The City invites businesses and local organizations to participate in the 5th annual Garden Grove College Graduates’ Reception by becoming a key sponsor. The private reception is hosted by Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones and the Garden Grove City Council, and takes place on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
