RV Permit Enforcement Begins November 1

City Councilmembers have approved the enforcement of recreational vehicles (RVs) in violation of the RV Parking Regulations Ordinance to begin on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. RV owners are strongly encouraged to request a permit through the automated permitting system at www.garden-grove.org/rvpermit.

Garden Grove Dog Park Closing for Renovations

The City will temporarily close Garden Grove Dog Park starting Monday, October 16, through tentatively, mid-November 2017, while renovations take place. Garden Grove Dog Park is located at 13601 Deodara Drive. The area is being improved with new fencing, turf renovation, and removal and replacement of the dog waste enclosures.

City Expresses Sorrow, Support, Solidarity for Local Victims, Families of Vegas Shooting

The aftermath of last Sunday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas left cities across the nation grieving over the devastating loss of life, especially those from their own communities. Garden Grove suffered at least two fatalities, some injured, and others able to escape physically unharmed.

City Seeks Main Street/Downtown Commissioner

The City seeks candidates to fill a vacancy on the Main Street/Downtown commission to complete a term that expires in December 2018. To qualify as a volunteer commissioner, applicants must be a property owner/business owner or tenant on Garden Grove’s Main Street/Downtown, and must be able to attend meetings.

Drivers Get Important Lesson During Police School Bus Operation

As part of the City’s Accident Reduction Campaign, the Garden Grove Police Department conducted a school bus operation on Friday, September 8, 2017. The purpose of the operation was to educate drivers on the importance of stopping for school buses that are stopped to load and unload students.
