Harbor Boulevard, from Garden Grove Boulevard to Chapman Avenue, is set to undergo construction beginning Monday, January 19, 2015 and continuing through September 2015. The work will consist of new landscape and irrigation improvements in the median islands and parkways, parkway lighting, and decorative sidewalk and concrete improvements, and installation of a new traffic signal. Storm drain and sewer improvements will take place on Twintree Lane, Choisser Road, Greentree Avenue, and Bangor Street.

Motorists are advised that construction may cause traffic to be reduced to one lane during the working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Through-traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes.

Parking near the construction area will be restricted, but access to businesses and residences along the construction area will be maintained at all times.

The nearly $5.2 million project is included in the City’s Capital Improvement Budget and funded through the Redevelopment Property Tax Trust Fund approved by the California State Department of Finance, the U.S. Department of Commerce - Economic Development Administration, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Measure M2 Local Funds.
