Lampson Avenue, from West Street to Merrill Street is set to undergo construction beginning August 8, 2016 through September 2016. The improvements, when complete, will help to alleviate flooding on Lampson Avenue at the Merrill Street intersection.

Work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Motorists are advised that traffic on Lampson Avenue may be reduced to one lane to facilitate construction work. There will be no parking allowed in the construction zone, but access to residences along the construction area will be maintained at all times.

The improvements consist of storm drains, catch basins, utility relocations, removing cross gutters, and traffic striping.

The $242,530 project was awarded by the Garden Grove City Council on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 to Mamco, Inc., Perris, California. The project is funded by drainage funds.
