Information Technology Department

Garden Grove's Information Technology Department has been featured in various trade publications and newspapers for its pioneering use of Open Source software. The City has been running its network on Open Source software since early 1995 and continues to look at utilizing it more because of its advanced features, stability, flexibility, and cost savings.

Orange County Law Enforcement Information Technology Association (OCLEITA) is made up of various individuals from the IT staffs that supports the various law enforcement agencies in Orange County. Our members include the IT staff that support the 22 Police Departments in the County, the Sheriff’s Department, the Courts, Probation Department, District Attorney’s office as well as members from the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center (OCIAC).

The Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC) is comprised of public agency information technology professionals working throughout California. MISAC promotes the understanding and strategic use of information technology within local government agencies through sharing of best practices. In carrying out its mission, the organization focuses on four key components:
