Members of the community are invited to participate in upcoming community meetings to provide input on the formation of new district voting maps for the city. The first meeting is this Wednesday, March 2, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center, located at 12661 Sunswept Avenue. The meeting will be facilitated by David Ely from Compass Demographics, the firm overseeing the formation of six voting districts for the 2016 elections.
Other upcoming public informational meetings are:
- Saturday, March 5, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., located at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Avenue
- Wednesday, March 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the Garden Grove Unified School District Maintenance Center, 8211 Lampson Avenue
- Saturday, March 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Garden Grove Sports and Recreation Center, located at Garden Grove Park, 13641 Deodara Drive
The meetings will be conducted in a workshop setting with larger groups providing input via interactive opportunities.
