The process of determining City districts for the 2016 elections continues with the first public hearing on Tuesday, January 26, at 6:30 p.m. The hearing takes place during the regular Garden Grove City Council meeting, at the Garden Grove Courtyard Center, located at 12372 Main Street.

At the hearing, a report will be presented to the City Council on the first-round of individual and community meetings on the district mapping process that took place in November and December of last year. The report will also include a review of sample voting district discussion maps.

The public is invited to participate in the public hearing, or can submit their comments or questions to Garden Grove City Clerk Kathleen Bailor. Following the Public Hearing on January 26 will be the last round of individual meetings with Mr. David Ely from Compass Demographics, the firm overseeing the districting process. The
meeting dates and locations are: January 28, 29, February 1, 2, 2016; 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Garden Grove City Hall, 11222 Acacia Parkway. Also on January 30, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Garden Grove Courtyard Center in Village Green Park, 12732 Main Street.
