The process of determining City districts for the 2016 elections is nearing the end with the last public informational meeting on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. The meeting takes place at the Garden Grove Sports and Recreation Center, located in Garden Grove Park, 13641 Deodara Drive.

Following the last round of public meetings will be a public hearing on Tuesday, March 22, at 6:30 p.m. The hearing takes place during the regular Garden Grove City Council meeting, at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue.

At the hearing, final district proposals will be presented to the City Council by Mr. David Ely from Compass Demographics, the firm overseeing the districting process. The report will include a review of two to three sample voting district maps that were created from the discussions at the individual and public community meetings.

The public is invited to participate in the public hearing, or can submit their comments or questions to Garden Grove City Clerk Kathleen Bailor. The City Clerk’s telephone number is (714) 741-5040; the email address is kathyb@ci.garden-grove.ca.us; or by mail or in-person at 11222 Acacia Parkway.
