The goal of the Business Retention section is to provide a partnership with the business community to retain and attract companies to Garden Grove by providing support, economic incentives, and development opportunities. The City works with all segments of our retail and industrial business community to provide the following program elements:

- Fast Track Permitting
- Project Ombudsman
- Assistance with environmental issues
- Coordination with Public Utilities
- Job Training Programs
- Assistance with affordable Housing
- Facilities and site location assistance
- Resource coordination with Federal, State, and local programs
The City of Garden Grove has innovative programs for companies wishing to remain, expand, or relocate into our City. These include: financial assistance from the Redevelopment Agency, direction for Commercial loans, Industrial development bond financing, assistance with site location and permits, special planning and coordination for commercial rehabilitation programs and assistance with infrastructure and water systems.
In addition to its' business friendly environment, Garden Grove is strategically located adjacent to six major freeways providing easy access to markets, government centers, tourist and recreation centers, and other cities in California. With the City's close proximity to major universities, community colleges, and technical schools, there is a substantial supply of well trained professional and technical employees.
