The community is invited to attend the free Summer Concert Series, starting July 6 through August 10, at Eastgate Park, 12001 St. Mark Street. A total of six concerts will be held Thursday nights, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Kicking-off the series is Stone Soul, playing classic Motown hits.
This past Tuesday, the Garden Grove City Council unanimously approved a ground lease agreement with SteelCraft Long Beach, LP. The property is located at 12900 Euclid Street, in Garden Grove’s downtown area.

This month, Magnolia Park Family Resource Center celebrated its 17-year anniversary, and the Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center celebrated 15 years. Both facilities hosted community celebrations in honor of their milestone achievements.
The Magnolia Park Family Resource Center, located at 11402 Magnolia Street, invited local residents to enjoy a free event, “Picnic in the Park.” Activities included a resource fair, health screenings, arts and crafts, games, food and refreshments, and giveaways. The event attracted approximately 400 attendees.
In observance of the Independence Day holiday, Garden Grove City Hall and the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. No street sweeping services will be provided on the holiday. Streets will be swept as scheduled on all other days. Also, trash pick-up will be delayed by one day.
Today, more than 300 attendees celebrated the grand opening of ALDI, located in the Promenade, at 9901 Chapman Avenue. Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones and the City Council welcomed the grocer with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“This is an exciting moment for our community! The Promenade has seen tremendous growth in the last five years with the expansion of new retail businesses and dine-in and take-out eateries. With the opening of ALDI, the City expects that growth to continue,” commented Mayor Jones.
