City Receives Awards for Achievements in Business

The City of Garden Grove’s Office of Economic Development was recently recognized by the Orange County Business Council’s Turning Red Tape into Red Carpet awards held in Costa Mesa. The City received awards under the categories of ‘Responding to Globalization’ and ‘Real Estate Redevelopment and Reuse.’

Walking in a Winterfest Wonderland

The Garden Grove Community Services Department presents the annual Winterfest holiday event on Saturday, December 2, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Atlantis Play Center. Atlantis Play Center is located at 13630 Atlantis Way in Garden Grove Park. Ticket prices are $10 per person and run until Friday, December 1.

Seeking Sponsors for College Graduates Recognition

The City is looking for businesses and organizations to sponsor the 2018 Garden Grove College Graduates’ Reception, a program aimed at highlighting local college graduates and promoting higher education in the community. The private reception is hosted by the Garden Grove City Council and takes place on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

City Manager Names New Community Services Director

Today, Garden Grove City Manager Scott Stiles announced the appointment of Community Services Manager John Montanchez, to serve as the City’s new Community Services Director. Montanchez will oversee one of the largest departments in the City that includes the operation of 17 parks, all rental facilities, and the Garden Grove Community Foundation.

City Seeking Community Input on Downtown Parking

The City of Garden Grove is seeking community input related to downtown parking. The City encourages all who live, shop, visit, or work in the downtown area to participate in an online survey.
