Community Meeting on Recent Requirements for Accessory Dwelling Units

The City will be holding a community informational meeting on Thursday, August 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., to present information on new requirements for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU). The event will take place at the Community Meeting Center, at 11300 Stanford Avenue.

Garden Grove to Participate in Flag Ceremony at OC Fair

The OC Fair has invited all 34 Orange County cities to participate in a Community Flag Salute. On Garden Grove’s day, Wednesday, August 9, Mayor Steve Jones and City Council members will lead fairgoers in singing the National Anthem at 12:30 p.m.

Mosquito Infected with West Nile Virus Found in Garden Grove

The Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District has confirmed and informed Garden Grove City officials of the first mosquito sample infected with the West Nile virus in Garden Grove. The mosquitoes were collected in mosquito traps at the West Street Basin, in the vicinity of West Street and Chapman Avenue.
