According to the National Weather Service, we should begin to see rain sometime between Tuesday, March 20 and Wednesday, March 21, and lasting through Friday, March 23. Thursday will potentially be the wettest day.

Residents that are prone to flooding are asked to survey their property, and ensure drains are not blocked by debris. Garden Grove fire stations 2, 3, and 4 will be supplied with sand and bags for all Garden Grove residents.

  • For the public’s safety, we are asking people to stay out of any moving body of water. If anyone sees a person in moving water, do not approach and call 911.
  • Drivers should allow plenty of time to get to their destinations as streets are going to be wet and may present hazards for drivers.
  • With the rain, the storm may bring winds that may cause downed power lines. People are urged to stay clear of all power lines on the ground, and call 911.
