Safe Routes to School Workshop
Sep 15 2017Join us to learn about Safe Routes to School in Garden Grove on September 20, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.! During this workshop you will hear about ways to make walking and rolling to and from school safer, convenient and fun. Together with other community members, parents, students, City and school staff, you will identify barriers to walking and rolling and opportunities for improvements.
Hundreds of Needy Students Benefit from City’s Back to School Drive
Sep 13 2017The Back to School Drive, hosted by the Buena Clinton Youth & Family Center and the Magnolia Park Family Resource Center, provided 300 students with backpacks and school supplies. Through donated items and monetary donations, families were assisted with the expense of preparing their children to go back to school.
Parking Restrictions for Recreational Vehicles
Sep 09 2017In response to community concerns regarding public safety, neighborhood aesthetics, and curbing the parking of non-Garden Grove recreational vehicles on residential streets, the Garden Grove City Council has approved an ordinance that will require recreational vehicles parked on public and private streets to have a valid City-issued permit, at no cost.
New Parking Area for Garden Grove City Hall
Sep 08 2017Effective immediately, the parking lot located across from Garden Grove City Hall, 11222 Acacia Parkway, will be designated for City staff only. City Hall visitor parking will be available in the parking lot alongside the Garden Grove Fire Department, 11301 Acacia Parkway. In addition, visitors may park in front of City Hall for 15 to 20 minutes in the designated area.

The City Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Closed sessions, when scheduled, start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the City Council meeting, which includes Oral Communications at 6:30 p.m.
