Andrew Do
Andrew Do was elected to the Garden Grove City Council in December 2008. A former Orange County Deputy District Attorney, Council Member Do most recently served as the Chief of Staff to Orange County Supervisor and former Garden Grove City Council Member, Janet Nguyen.
His participation in community and professional organizations include the Board of Directors for the St. Anselm’s Cross Cultural Community Center, and Board of Directors for the Orange County Bar Association, the Orange County Asian Bar Association, and state president of the Asian Bar of California.
Council Member Do is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, and the University of California, Hastings School of Law. He has also served as an adjunct professor at California State University, Fullerton.
Council Member Do began residing in Garden Grove in 1976, after his family left Vietnam and moved to California. He and his wife, Cheri, have two daughters. In addition to his family, community, and career, Council Member Do finds time to enjoy sports and music.
Community Goal
To increase public safety; fight gangs and graffiti; increase park and open space; increase efficiency; increase commerce by making the City more business-friendly; and improve traffic conditions.
